BEAUTY IS ARRESTING. With due respect to “the eye of the beholder” concerns, jaw-dropping beauty shots usually depend on established norms of lighting, posing, and camera perspective. And always, for us at least, the model's perfect but elusive expression.
Post-production, either simple or extensive, is important; but ad success in a beauty shot depends, first, on arresting that beholder.
